I'm one lucky girl!

Yup, it's true....I'm one lucky girl! I have such a cute, sweet little family. I could not be more happier! Ok, that's my bragging for the moment. Anyway, life has been super crazy for me the past month. Sometimes having 2 kids isn't too bad and everything seems to go smoothly, and other times.......well, not so smoothly. Mostly smoothly though. Anyway, since it's been like a month since I last posted, here's what we've been up to...

My birthday was on May 31, the day I came home from the hospital. My twin brother and I turned the big 2-5! I feel old :( We had a little BBQ at my mom's house that night and did the whole shebang. I think I had a pretty good birthday if I don't say so myself.

We were all over in the family room opening presents, and my mom looks into the kitchen and is like "um, Brooke, Jordan, do you know where you kid is?" We're like "no, why? where is he?" She points over to the table and there was a piece of cake on the table and Wyatt was helping himself to it. But the funny thing is that he was using the fork. I'm suprised he didn't just use his fingers. He's really pretty good with utensils, but he ends up using hands in the end. Anyway, it was funny. Maybe you had to be there though, I dunno.

Wyatt can usually be found by Chamberlain. He's so fascinated with him and just loves him. This morning I was sitting on the couch holding Chamberlain and Wyatt came up to us and goes "Kiss Chamberlain's head", and leaned down and just gave Chamberlain a big kiss on his forehead.....it's moments like that that just melt my heart. So sweet!

Or he can be found reading a book on the chair in his room. He loves books!

A sweet picture of my baby

We went to the zoo a couple weeks ago, and it was pretty fun. We were kinda disappointed cuz some of the exhibits were closed, but...what do ya do? I think Wyatt enjoyed it though. Chamberlain just slept....typical.

I thought this was a cute picture of Jordan and Wyatt. He loves shoulder rides on Dad!

Wyatt is scared of statues, I'm blaming Jordan for that one. Somehow we got him to get on this one for a picture though, and he doesn't even look scared.

WARNING: ADULT CONTENT! LOOK AT PICTURE WITH CAUTION! HAHA

So, while at the zoo we got to see the giraffs. That was lovely. We literally saw 2 giraffs get in on. If you can't tell in the pic, the male giraff is hanging out there trying to get on the female. She kept running away and he would follow her. Seriously we watched for like 10 minutes. The chase took forever. He tried to mount a few times but she would get away. But finally he got lucky one time. It was quite traumatic. Definitely not something you see every day. It happened so fast when he did mount her, that Jordan was disappointed. He was like "That was it?" haha But if you look closely, you can see his "thing" hanging out, waiting.

We had the perfect group for this picture. And adult male and female, a juvenile, and an infant...Wyatt even held his arms up like us.

We went on the train ride while we were there too. That was fun. I've never done that before.

This might possibly be one of my favorite pictures of Wyatt. Now that the pool is open for summer, Wyatt L-O-V-E-S to go swimming. Even though sometimes he just wants to sit on the stairs, he's always wanting to go out there. He's got a nice tan, that's for sure.

Jordan's mom's family had a family reunion a couple weeks ago. There are a lot of people in his family. She was 1 of 15 kids....and they all have good sized families, plus grandkids too....so there were a lot of people. This is our attempt at a family picture. As you can see, it didn't turn out so well.

Wyatt and Chamberlain sitting on my Aunt's recliner together. It's funny. I've always thought Wyatt was small (I know he's tall, but more skinny I guess), but ever since having Chamberlain, Wyatt looks HUGE to me now. He feels way heavier! Which he is getting close to 30 lbs now, but...he didn't seem as heavy the last time I held him before going to the hospital as he does now. My little boy is just growin up fast! Anyway, this picture just shows the size difference. But once again, Wyatt climbed up onto the recliner to be with Chamberlain.

I just though it was funny when I saw him like this. Both his hands rested on his knees, sleeping.

Jordan fell asleep burping Chamberlain, and with his binky in his mouth. I should be worried that he fell asleep like this...

This is Chamberlain today. He's gotten so big! He was small when he was born (6 lbs, 17 1/2 in). When he went in a few days after he was born he was 5 lbs, but when he went in at 2 weeks, he had grown tons! He was 7.7 lbs, and 20 inches. The pediatrician told me "you got some milk"! Jordan is convinced that Chamberlain was only 36 weeks when he was born, which he could be right, but....I guess we'll never know. We had some confusion in the beginning with pregnancy tests. He says "if i'm the father, he couldn't have been more than 36 weeks".

I was babysitting my nephew Wrigley today for a few hours and he's about 7 months older than Wyatt. I just thought this was a fun picture of them sitting together playing with car toys. Wyatt looks so blond in this picture!

And finally....

This was us on Sunday. We were all pooped. I don't know how Wyatt fell asleep because he's never fallen asleep anywhere besides his carseat or bed. But he fell asleep with Jordan. I had just fed Chamberlain and was burping him and fell asleep. My mom and sister came in looking for us and found us like this so my sister took a picture of us on her phone....hence the poor quality.

Anyway, this is a more random post than I thought, but oh well. At least I'm getting something up. Chamberlain is such a sweet baby, but it's kinda hard to do things sometimes because he definitely likes to be held. He's ok in the morning to put him in his bouncy seat or swing, but after that it's like you have to hold him the rest of the day. So, it's hard to do things, but we're getting by. Luckily he's asleep in his swing right now...but I wouldn't trade him for anything!
