Jordan and I were asked to participate in the Stake Trek this year as a "Ma" and "Pa". Neither one of us had gone on Trek before so it was our first time. We had such a great time! It was so much fun getting to know the kids in our family and to experience what the pioneers had to do on a much smaller scale. We went up to some private property in Heber and walked about 20 miles over 3 days. We went 4 or 5 miles the first day (the HARDEST! It was ALL uphill!!), 9 miles the second day and like 4 or 5 miles the last day. Our little family was wonderful and we were quite a fast group. They all enjoyed the experience too I think. Not only was it fun to do the Trek, but it was so funny to be around 14-18 year old teenagers and watch them interact with each other. I totally remember that age and how boy crazy I was. It was really funny to watch the flirting between the boys and girls. Anyway, we really enjoyed this experience as I've said before and hopefully we can do it again another time around.

This was our lunch stop. Jordan connected our handcart with another families and we made some shade so we could eat. It didn't fit both families comfortably, but it worked

3 of our girls. McKay, Jalisha, and Madison...we had another girl but she has ankle problems so she didn't walk with us the last day.
Eating lunch when we finished waiting for the buses. We were the first family to finish Trek, and we went too far even and had to come back.
